Science of reading-based online tutoring with Wilson-certified specialists

Services We Offer

Wilson Reading System Tutoring

One-on-one, science of reading-based tutoring using the Wilson Reading System. Students build phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, and fluency through explicit, systematic instruction with a Wilson-certified special education teacher.

Sessions are delivered live online with multisensory tools, clear routines, and ongoing progress monitoring so reading becomes more accurate, automatic, and confident.

Visualizing and Verbalizing (V&V) Comprehension Instruction

Explicit comprehension instruction using the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing program. Students learn to create detailed mental imagery as they read or listen, then put those images into words to strengthen understanding and recall.

V&V sessions are also delivered live online and are ideal for students who can decode but struggle to remember, retell, or make sense of what they read.

IEP Review & Consultation

Comprehensive review of your child’s IEP, goals, programming, and progress data to ensure alignment with evidence-based reading instruction and the science of reading.

You’ll receive clear, actionable recommendations and a consultation focused on helping you advocate for explicit, individualized reading support at school.

We work with students of all ages, from early elementary through high school, who are struggling with reading, writing, or comprehension.

We start with a free consultation and, when appropriate, a brief reading screening to understand your child’s strengths and needs. From there, we recommend the best fit: Wilson Reading System tutoring for decoding and spelling, Visualizing & Verbalizing for comprehension, or IEP review and consultation if you’re focused on school-based services.

Most sessions are about an hour, though the individual needs of each student ultimately drive the length. The recommended number of sessions per week will be determined after the initial assessment, taking into account the student’s needs and what works best for the family.

Every child is different, but most families start noticing improvements within a few weeks of consistent sessions. Progress depends on the student’s needs, frequency of sessions, and practice between sessions. Beyond measurable gains in decoding and comprehension, families often notice meaningful changes in their child’s self-esteem and confidence—many students become more willing to do homework and engage with reading when they experience success through explicit, structured instruction.
